Import campaigns

Import existing campaigns from the ad platform into the current campaign launch.

Tool name: import-campaigns.

Import existing campaigns from the ad platform into the current campaign launch. Pulls campaign structure including ad sets and ads. Pass sourceAdAccountId to pull from a DIFFERENT ad account than the batch's own, resolve that account with listMyAdAccounts, list its campaigns with listAccountCampaigns({ accountId }), then import the chosen ids. The import runs in the BACKGROUND, large campaigns may still be syncing when this tool returns; in that case it reports "still importing", which is NOT a failure.

When to use

Pull existing ad-platform campaigns into the current Koast launch (with their ad sets and ads). For "import from my other ad account" / "pull <campaign> from <another account>", resolve the account via listMyAdAccounts, list it with listAccountCampaigns({ accountId }), then pass that same id as sourceAdAccountId. NOT for creating new campaigns from scratch, use addCampaign for that. Runs in the background; a "still importing" result means a large import is in flight, not an error.

Input

FieldTypeRequiredDescription
campaignLaunchIdstringYesCampaign launch ID (a.k.a. batch ID). Read it from the Current Context block when one is in scope, or resolve it from a mention via listAccountCampaigns / the campaign tree when the user @-mentioned a different launch.
campaignIdsstring[]YesAd-platform campaign IDs to import (non-empty). At least 1 item, at most 1 items.
sourceTypestringNo'existing' attaches to the live campaign (keeps its ad-platform IDs). 'duplicate' copies it as an editable draft with ad-platform IDs stripped, prefer cloneLiveCampaign for that. Anything else is rejected by the API. One of existing, duplicate. Default "existing".
sourceAdAccountIdstringNoAd account id to import FROM (e.g. act_1234 on Meta), when it differs from the batch's own ad account. Get it from listMyAdAccounts, never invent it. Omit for a same-account import. The brand must already have a connected credential for this account; if it does not, the API refuses and this tool reports the refusal instead of importing.

Output

The tool catalog does not declare an output schema for this tool.
