Add ad set

Add a new ad set to a campaign, and optionally apply targeting/budget/schedule/goal settings AT CREATE time via the settings map (dot-notation paths, same shape as updateSettings).

Tool name: add-adset.

Add a new ad set to a campaign, and optionally apply targeting/budget/schedule/goal settings AT CREATE time via the settings map (dot-notation paths, same shape as updateSettings). The response reports appliedSettings (paths whose stored value matches the request) and notApplied (paths that did NOT land, e.g. invalid value, schema mismatch, or coupling guard). NEVER confirm a setting to the user unless it appears in appliedSettings.

When to use

Add a new ad set under an existing campaign, optionally with targeting/budget/schedule applied AT CREATE via settings (dot-paths). This works on a campaign that is ALREADY LIVE on the ad platform too: import it with importLiveCampaign first, then the ad set added here is published into that same live campaign by launchCampaign. NOT for editing an existing ad set (use updateSettings or renameNode) and NOT for duplicating one (use duplicateNode).

Dot-notation paths, same shape as updateSettings (e.g. targeting.ageRange, budget.dailyAmount, schedule.startTime, optimization.bidStrategy). budget.dailyAmount / budget.lifetimeAmount are CENTS. Array-typed paths must be native arrays. The response reports appliedSettings and notApplied, do NOT claim any value the response did not echo back.
